This tea set includes an elegant nasu-gata Tokoname-yaki kyusu (teapot) made from a dark grey clay with a super thin layer of an original glaze developed by Tomohiro that gives the piece a unique metallic sheen as it drip down the teapot.
Nasu-gata or eggplant shaped kyusu are great all-round teapots that work well for brewing all kinds of tea.
The built-in ceramic sasame filter is perfect for naturally straining tea, with a wide shape for faster pouring and less clogging.
The kyusu comes paired with two matching yunomi (teacups) made in the same style, and packaged in a presentable gift box.
These pieces were made by Sawada Tomohiro (澤田朋大).
